Take a moment to think about what is your writing style. This will be made up of topics and themes you like to write about, the forms of writing that you favor, your sentence style, word choice, and ultimately when and why you write. For example, my style is playful, but academic, favoring short stories about when reality and the otherworldly collide. I am also fond of long rants on the internet when people make illogical or hurtful claims. My attempts at poetry should be avoided like week expired milk. I never use simple sentences, even when I should, and adore opening dependent clauses, adjectives, and alliteration. My vocabulary is expansive and perhaps my greatest strength. It is too bad that I only write fiction for fun and praise because I believe that a powerful story can change the world. I know the story I should write, but I am too intimidated to write it. NOTE: Your writing style statement does not have to be this long, but I do want you to write something for each part of the definition.
